Created in 2013 by Katerina Canyon and Susan "Spit-Fire" Lively as an “artistic dedication from the women of St. Louis to the women of the world”, “Women for Peace” is a series dedicated to promoting Gender Violence Awareness. Enjoy the warm and welcoming ambiance of Melt and show your love for women at the FINAL installment of the show on Monday, June 6th at 7:00 p.m. when we'll commemorate the 3 Year Anniversary of "Women for Peace"! 

The series has featured many gifted local artists, including Mali Newman, Deborah Mashibini, JoyCe Blue, Erin Goss, Maria Teresa Balogh, Pamela Garvey, Stephanie “Surreal Sista” Williams, Maria Guadalupe Massey, Basmin Nadra, Patricia Merritt, Randi Bobby, X Blu Rayne, Dana “Kels” Kelly, Julia Gordon-Bramer, Shea Brown, Susan Trowbridge Adams, Layla Azmi Goushey, Kristy "Lightning" McKeown, Ree Cee, Sahara "Sista Sols" Scott, Emily Nicole, Elayna Nicole, and Charisma Blue. 

The June mega-event will feature music, poetry, and spoken word; including live performances by Susan Trowbridge Adams, Aysia Berlynn, DuEwa Frazier, Layla Azmi Goushey, Emma Jean, and Spit-Fire with Special Guests Maria Guadalupe Massey, Lightning, Sista Sols, Felice Skye, and X Blu Rayne. There will be a full bar as well. 

Lively produces and hosts the show, which is done in conjunction with “The Peace Economy Project" (www.peaceeconomyproject.org ). $5.00 suggested donation; 50% of proceeds benefit PEP, 50% goes to MELT.
